Originally from the Caribbean island of Trinidad in the West Indies, Laurie has been fascinated with fitness from a young age and quickly realised how exercise played an integral part of everyday wellbeing, from cycling and running to playing football and cricket in school.
After moving to the UK in 1998, Laurie studied an Access to Health and Human Science course whilst working in the office world and subsequently qualified as a Personal trainer in 2003.
Having moved to Gibraltar in 2014, she has since completed an updated Personal training qualification at Premier Training International and has been privately coaching clients through specialised 1-1 weight training and nutrition, focusing on correct weight lifting technique and movement for the past 5 years.
Having also taught and assisted with managing semi private group training for the last 3-4 years, she has focused on helping people build confidence in the gym and with their own bodies through coaching various classes of strength training, metabolic conditioning and circuit classes.
Fitness and wellbeing is a priority of Laurie and her clients, and her aim is to help them in their journey to get fitter and stronger as well as look at their health as a fuller picture.
